David Stein – Writer

David Stein is the award winning producer of three iconic television series: the “E! True Hollywood Story,” HGTV’s “House Hunters”/“House Hunters International” and Style’s “Split Ends”. He is currently feature producer for the Oprah Winfrey/Harpo Productions NBC talk show, “The Nate Berkus Show”.

His fourteen episodes of the E! True Hollywood Story rank among the highest-rated ever including “Hugh Hefner: Girlfriends, Wives and Centerfolds,” “Eminem” and “Dolly Parton”. David has interviewed celebrities ranging from Pamela Anderson and Donald Trump to Betty White, Run DMC, Tori Spelling and Jane Fonda. His two-hour biography of Mary Tyler Moore won the Prism Award for Best Biographical Episode or Special.

As a field director for “House Hunters,” David traveled the U.S. and the world—from Paris, Texas to Paris, France—finding inventive ways to make home buying seem both compelling and entertaining. As a story producer at Style’s docusoap “Split Ends,” he demonstrated a flair for shaping raw footage into raw emotion, supervising the editing process from start to finish. His season with “Spilt Ends” was the number one rated show on the network.
